With regard to a Leading Edge D (which has been a fine machine
for about three years), a problem with the keyboard has been making
me nuts for some time:
The reverse caps lock feature that inadvertently kicks in when
you least want it to, resulting in ALL CAPS until you stop and make it
go away (by presssing shift-caps lock, then caps lock twice; something
like that).
Anyway, I use a program called kbfix2 that supposedly fixes
this problem--I have no doubt it does on other computers--but does not
on the Leading Edge. I think the interrupts used by the Leading Edge
D differ from True Blue and Damn Near True Blue machines.
So . . .
Does anyone know of a fix for this? I should have
said I'm using Word Perfect 5.0 and had the same problem with 4.1 and
4.2. Interestingly, like a demon called by mentioning his name, this
"feature" has manifested itself as I've been typing this message on
vi.
Post or e-mail as you see fit.
