[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Questions on PROCOMM PLUS

PROCOMM fans on the net:

Has anybody noticed that the BS key definition option is missing
from PROCOMMM PLUS TEST DRIVE? Is there another way I can redefine
the BackSpace key from ^H to Del in pcplustd? Does PROCOMM PLUS
the real thing has the BS key definition option like in PROCOMM 2.4.3?
How good is the PROCOMM PLUS keybord remaping program? Does it
allow remaping of SysReq, NumLock, ScrollLock keys? What is the
difference between VT-100 and VT-102 anyway? Any answer to these
questions will be greatly appreciated.

The backspace key can be remapped in the real PCPLUS with no problem. The
keyboard mapping utility is very simple and convenient. Keys which actually
send scan codes through INT 16H are reprogrammable.

The real ProComm Plus is available from mail order houses such as PC Connection
(Marlow, NH, 800-243-8088) for a mere $43. Why not give the developers of the
program a few $$$ for their efforts and get some free telephone support to
boot?

The VT102 was an enhanced VT100 which has insert and delete character
escape sequences, 132 column x 80 character display, an on board printer
port with passthrough and printscreen modes and underline, blink, reverse
and bold screen attributes.

Most of these features were optional on the VT100 (extra cost) and involved
add in boards. The VT102 had one board and did all of these things.
