One of our departments is having problems with a small IBM PC Network running IBM PC Network program. They only have four computers connected, with one being a non-dedicated server. They recently upgraded one of the stations from an IBM PC to a CompuAdd 286 AT clone. Everything seems to work OK when on the AT when starting the network, but when they try to use the network printer (or actually do anything on the net) they get a "Network busy" error. The manual says that this message means the network is busy (clever huh?) and that the user should wait and try again. Since the other computers are not accessing the network when this occurs, the network i s not really busy, but the At thinks it is. Could this be a compatibilty problem between the CompuAdd bus and the IBM network card? Any PC network experts out there with some advice? I not sure where to start, do I need to check interupt settings? addresses? etc. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!
