Got a request from a unser who needs to move a mass of data from a Dataease (sp?) database into an Rbase database. 1. Does Rbase understand Dataease format? (I expect not.) 2. Does Dataease understand Rbase format? (Again, unlikely.) 3. Can Dataease export in something like dBase format that Rbase can read? (Probably my best shot.) Please share any experience you have with these products. Thanks. -- Dave Anderer Academic Computing and Instructional Technology University of Delaware

The R:BASE 'unload' command can export data to a simple text file delimited with comma's. The 'load' command can similarly import data of the same format. If dataease can do the same thing, you got something going. ;-) -- Jeff Sheese - via FidoNet node 1:109/116 UUCP: ...!netsys!jsheese!jeffery (Send all replies to netsys!jsheese!jeffery)
