Does anyone have a utility (TSR?) that controls the beep? Occasionally
I would like to turn off the sound on my PC. I know that some personal
computers are equipped with some kind of ON/OFF switch on their front
panel, but IBM's don't have them.

I remember this being a problem on the Apple II I had in my room when I was in high school (I wanted to play games without waking the parents :-). My solution then was to install a little switch on one of the wires leading to the speaker, the switch being of the single-pole-single-throw type available at any Radio Shack. Does anybody know if cutting off the lead to the speaker would cause any problems with the PC? My Apple never gave me any trouble over this. Chris -=- "Life is pain, Highness.
