[net.general] Space Shuttle Donations

jsk@druor.UUCP (KennedyJS) (01/31/86)

I heard on a local radio station (KNUS) in Denver, Co. that
donations for a replacement shuttle (2 billion dollars) are
being accepted by the proper NASA authorities.

Non-tax-deductable donations are being accepted at the following
address.

		   NASA
		   ATT. BF
		   Washington, DC
		            20546

My suggestion is to request the next space shuttle be named

                   `CHRISTA'

If you feel the same way, you may want to suggest it when
you send in your donation!

I disagree strongly with the suggested name. The new shuttle should
be named after ALL SEVEN astronauts, viz.

                    CHALLENGER II

We should also insist that it only be used for non-military purposes.
