I've received some good advice regarding this problem a
little while ago. I've decided to repost just to see if
anyone else might have some other ideas what might be wrong.
Consensus seems to say that the RAM chips are incorrect.
Anybody else have any other explanations. E-Mail on the
problem would be much appreciated.
I've recently acquired an IBM clone--it seems to work
fine in the 12mhz turbo mode except when I'm using graphics.
A friend and I run fractals on the mainframe here on campus
and then download the to the PC. I use a program written in
GW-BASIC to print them out on the monitor. There are no
probs when I plot them with the turbo on but when I try to
run in 12mhz the program will run for awhile and then die.
We thought the prob. might have been with the graphics card
but I replaced it and I still have the problem. I don't
think the problem is that the program is speed sensitive
because it (and a few other pgms.) will run fine at 12mhz
on other computers but they die on mine. Any suggestions on
what might be screwed up??
Thanks,
Eric Roe
