[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Using 43- or 50-line mode in MS-Kermit and ProComm

Does anyone know if any of the various versions of MS-Kermit or
ProComm (2.4.2, 2.4.3, Plus) have a mode for emulating a VT-100 but
using 43-line EGA or 50-line VGA mode rather than the regular 25-line
mode?

Also, I have been hearing a lot about a comm. program called "telix".
Is is PD or Shareware? In what ways is it better than ProComm and
Kermit? (I have access to it via FTP, I just don't know yet if it's
worth the trouble of getting it and trying it out.)

I believe that you may use FANSI-CONSOLE from:
  Hersey Micro Consulting, Inc.
  P.O. Box 8276
Ann Arbor, MI 48107 Phone: 313-994-3259

Tell your communications software you want dumb terminal emulation,
and FANSI-CONSOLE does the rest!

That's it for now!
