[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Have trouble running PSPICE's PROBE

hoang@rex.cs.tulane.edu (Dzung Hoang) (05/04/89)

I've not been successful in getting the PSPICE demo's PROBE program to
run on my Compuadd Standard 286/10 with a Hercules compat. adapter. I tried
setting the device to TEXT, Hercules, IBM with no success. The opening
screen appears, but when I try to perform an analysis, the screen blanks and
stays blank. I am running MSDOS v3.30 on a harddrive.
Is there a driver that I am supposed to run, like a graphics driver?
Has anyone been able to get PROBE to work on non-IBM computers?
I suspect that the problem may be in the DOS or the BIOS (My machine has
the Phoenix AT BIOS).
    Any help is appreciated.

The Probe.exe software requires the 80x87 numeric coprocessor
to run. If you don't have one, this would be the source of your
problems. I've seen Probe.exe run on a Zenith 248 and it looks
	pretty good. I wish I had a 80827.
