[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Problem using lotus 123 V2 in XT

My brother has an XT clone that has worked fine for over a year
now BUT when he runs lotus 123:
	1) the screen clears
	2) the initial banner comes up
	3) the serial number cumes up
	4) a few seconds go by and
	5) at the time the spread sheet should come up
	   the cursor moves to the upper left and displays
	   "Divide Overflow" and then the whole system locks up.
	6) sometimes a cntrl-alt-delt works and sometimes he
	   has to power cylcle.


Sytem has:
	full 640K
	ttl monitor
	hercules clone board
	western digital WD-GEN (RLL) -> ST225 (Boots 99% of time)
	floppy controller board


Here is what we have tried:

	1) lotus work fine in my system with his video board
	   and monitor.
	2) tried 5 different BIOS chips:
		ERSO 3.10   ERSO 3.20  PD-BIOS   DTK 4.20  and
		a standard IBM-XT bios 10/07/82
	3) we have tried without the 8087 with switch #2 on and off
	4) we have tried with the 8087 with switch #2 on and off

Now 123 version 1A and 1B work just fine!! its just V2 doesn't work.

This weekend we are going to try different CPU chips (my orignal
	8088 and my current V20)

PS Lotus support line sais we have switch 2 in the wrong possition
......but we have already tried that.
