[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Is there a PD program to allow programs to run in the space >640k & <1meg??

I know there is a comercial program to allow this on the 386 and a card and
software to allow this on the 286 but I would like to know if there is a PD
or freeware version of this type of program...  It is to allow programs to
run in the space between 640k and under 1meg.
