>> RUSH
YO! I beg to add that when I drove 70 miles to see FM open for RUSH
in Binghampton, N.Y. for the Moving Pictures tour, I was dismayed to notice
that neither Lifeson, Peart, or Lee were near any synthesizer during
any part of the concert! And yet there was always some unmistakeable
synthetic riff playing along with the band.
So either they were accompanied by a sequencer, or more likely,
they played along to a tape as so many other bands do these days.
That's one winning point that jazz will always have over Rock,
Jazz performers always, ALWAYS cut it live before they cut it into wax.

>> FM
Does anyone out there have any information on what became of FM, who
were originally from Toronto? After their last album, City of Fear,
I have heard absolutely nothing about their activities. I can only
assume that they went back to giving music lessons or whatever.

>> Lamb Lies Down On Broadway

Rumor has it that the fact that RAEL spelled backwards is Lear
(as in King Lear - Shakespeare) is more than coincidence. It had
something to do with the the fact that it was gabriel's last album
in conjuction with Genesis before he left for solo works. The
plots of LLDOB and Lear are also entwined in some very Gabriel way,
I have yet to discover this for myself.

>> EARFOOD
Does anyone know about or have any material from this group
"For 3 1/2 synthesizers"? They were based out of NYC a few years ago,
they supposedly have a 90 minute tape and one live album out but
my guess is that the works are pretty rare. I heard the stuff on WRPI
some summer yeeears ago (6,7?) when one of the guys, MCardy, was giving
an electronic music workshop at Bard College. At the time I couldn't
afford the tape, now I can't find the band! Any pointers appreciated.
