At work we have an old original IBM XT in which we have installed an IBM PS/2 Display card, the one IBM sells so you can hook up their VGA monitors to their PS/2 30's and their older PC's, XT's and AT's. Anyway, we have a IBM 12" Mono VGA monitor very happily connected to an IBM XT with the IBM VGA card attatched to it, but when we tried to put the IBM 12" Color monitor on the XT, the image was shifted to the left and the left 20 or so characters were off the screen. Now, this same monitor worked fine on a PS/2 Mod. 50. So, why would a mono VGA monitor work fine on the XT with the VGA board, but the Color monitor not? There are no switched on the VGA board for color or mono. Anyone have any thoughts on what may be wrong or how I might correct the problem? -- "She used to be so casual, but now she's my lady and she's out of control!" Mark E.
