[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Fortran plot routines for HP LaserJet

louis@cs.AthabascaU.CA (Louis Schmittroth) (05/28/89)

I am porting a large FORTRAN program for river modeling to my PC,
and I need a plotting package that will output to my HP LaserJet.
This surely exists?? I have the MS FORTRAN compiler, but not
the C compiler. The source is > 100K, so I'm not looking for
suggestions to recode it in any other language.

It may be easier to find a package to plot to HPGL plotters such as
the HP-7475A. HPGL file can then be interpreted by programs such
as WordPerfect, etc. for printing to the LaserJEt.

Also, available from HP is software or cartridge to give super HPGL
compatibility to your LaserJet compatible printer.

HPGL is very simple to use -- you may be able to write the routines youself.
