I am still looking for a tiff viewer for IBM PC. I have VGA so I can even use one specializing in that. Also, a tiff to gif converter (for PC, UNIX, VM/CMS) would be nice as an alternative. --phil howard-- <phil@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu>

It is called SLIDE.EXE. It works fine. I create things in PaintShow Plus and view them with SLIDE. You can create a slide show extremely easily. You can also get this software by buying a Logitech Mouse with the PSPlus package. jerry.

Also, a tiff to gif converter (for PC, UNIX, >VM/CMS) would be nice as an alternative. I have a tiff viewer for the IBM PC that works with standard VGA cards and some enhanced VGA cards. It can also view GIF files and convert tiff to GIF format. When viewing tiff, several conversions are possible: 2 level to 64 level (Good for halftoned scanned images) 16 level to 16 level 16 level to 64 level 256 level to 256 level The resultant tiff image being viewed can be saved as a GIF file. This GIF/TIFF viewer is shareware and if there is interest, I can either post it to comp.binaries.ibm_pc, or mail it to those interested if there are not too many. The program is named VGAIMAGE.EXE Hoke Johnson hoke@cup.portal.com sun!portal!cup.portal.com!Hoke_S_Johnson

My only question is, is there a version like that for people with EGA monitors?
