Our department just got 4 AT&t 386's. Since these computers are going to be used in 3 different suites we would like to create 3 different networks, each local to the suite. These computers are to be used strictly for Word Processing by the secretaries. Since it would be kind of overkill having a 386 for each secretary, we would like to have a 386 acting as the server in each of the 3 networks and buying like dummy terminals for the other secretaries in the suite. My questions are: 1. How can this be done? 2. What would be the most cost-effective way to do this? 3. How many terminals can be supported by the 386? Thanks in advance for your help. It would be kind of nice if we get a discussion going on this, with LAN's becoming such a important part of everyday business life. Monty (msb@hal.cwru.edu)
