Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with using Xtalk XVI and
Everex's 2400 baud modem. My problem is, Xtalk is not accessing the
modem and thus cannot dial out. For those familiar with the Xtalk
interface, what it did was that it endlessly counts down the seconds for
dialing, but never actually picked up the modem for connection.
I called Everex tech support and they are puzzled as well.
They claimed the modem is definitely Hayes compatible and that they
were able to use crosstalk in their office.
Also, I was able to use access the modem fine with Kermit,
Bitcom, Window/386's terminal facility etc.
Please let me know what is wrong!
