I've just installed a couple of CD-ROM drives and now have a problem. When searching MEDLINE with Silver Platter software you can't change CD's without restarting. Actually that only happens on our setup because (we are told) Silv. Plat. is not compatible with the controller card we have. We have the new Sony drive but not the Sony controller. The one we have is from On-Line. We had to fool Silver Platter into thinking the CD was networked and this created the bug. Silver Platter gave us the instru. to do this but don't know how to change CD's without restarting. I guess we could change controllers but that is an expensive solution. Any body else know of this prob? Email and I'll summarize.
