I have an Epson printer Model LX-800 (or something like that, I'm doing this from memory). However, when I try to print my WP 5.0 files onto this printer, it inevitably ends up messing up font changes, forgetting spaces between words, etc. The problem appears to stem from a) the fact that they don't have (as far as I know) a printer driver for my particular model and b) the fact that my model doesn't support the ESC \ that the other models use for doing proportional spacing and other such stuff. Any suggestions of modifications I can make using the PTR program or where I can grab a driver for my model? I don't check this group much, so I'd appreciate it if you sent a private message. Thanx in advance... -- SLP (portnoy)

They have several disks of drivers for non standard printers that are not distributed with the standard version of WP. (These drivers are provided by printer manufacturers rather than WP corp.). There is a small charge ($10) for getting the disk with the driver you need. Jim Winer ..!lzfme!jwi I believe in absolute freedom of the press. Pax Probiscus! I have heard many gripes from people that "wordperfect 4.2 worked with my razamafrots printer and 5.0 doesn't". They are irate and think that WP50 is horrible because of this... WordPerfect does quite amazing things and to do them it has to REALLY drive a printer and thus must REALLY know what printer it is driving. Get the right driver and things cook!!!
