I am running a system comprised of an AT&T386WGS, Paradise VGA 16 plus, NEC Multisync 2A. Under MS-DOS everything works fine. All video modes including 132x25 and 132x43 text modes display properly. However when using Digital Research Concurrent DOS 386 I am unable to display the enhanced text modes and running the VGA card 16TEST program ( to check if the VGA card is operating in a 16 bit mode) the sotware does not think the VGA card is present. Most of the other software I have tried seems to function normally. The paradise people seemed to think the problem was that there must be a file similar to ansi.sys running in Concurrent DOS 386. The Digital Research people didn't know what the problem was or how to fix it. Incidentally trying to get technical help from Digital Research was VERY frustrating. It took 8 days for them to return my multiple phonecalls and they finally called back only after I resorted to yelling at them. This does not seem a good way to run a buisness and might make me think twice about dealing with them again. Anyway....Does anyone have any experience with this problem and can anyone suggest a fix?
