Hello,
Does anyone know of a public domain version of FTP for PC's???
I thought it be useful in down loading ARC'ed and Zoo'ed files
via Internet without going through the uuencoding/uudecoding process.

Public domain, in order of introduction: MIT/CMU/Harvard PC-IP; Stanford derivative version has FTP, others don't. Phil Karn's effort for the Ham Radio community, KA9Q. The National Center for Supercomputing Applications package has an FTP. Commercial (alphabetical): 3Com/Bridge (derived from Stanford PC-IP), 3Com 802.5 & Ethernet only. Beame & Whiteside, 3Com & other Ethernet cards. CMC, CMC Ethernet boards only. Excelan, Excelan Ethernet boards only. FTP Software PC/TCP, 802.5, most non-intelligent Ethernet boards. IBM DOS TCP/IP (derived from CMU PC-IP), IBM 802.5, 3Com & U-B Ethernet. Interlan TCP/IP, NP600 intelligent Ethernet board only. Network Research Fusion, 3Com, W-D, Interlan & other Ethernet boards.
