I am planning to add a medium-size hard drive (40-80 mb) to my 10 mhz AT clone at home, which has an MFM no-name drive controller and would like any info on reliability and other considerations. Drives I've heard of and am considering include: Seagate 251-1, Miniscribe 3053, Miniscribe 3085, and Mitsubishi 535 (?). My understanding is that voice coil actuators are more desireable than stepping motors. Any wisdom from the net would be much appreciated. Please excuse any finger trouble: this is my first posting on the net. Thanks, Ron Sidwell Address: Department of Physics M.S. 221, E-653 174 West 18th Ave Fermilab Ohio State University P.O.
