I read in the June 19 issue of PC WEEK p. 30 about PC-MIX. The article claims the program provides inexpensive multitasking under DOS ($50). If anyone has experience using this product, I would like to know about it. I will soon have a 386 based PC with 4MB of memory; the author mentioned he used it on a 386 with QEMM so that each task had about 640 KB of memory to itself. Is QEMM needed to take advantage of the extra memory, or would another EMS 4.0 driver do as well? Are there any similarly priced or PD alternatives to PC-MIX? I've also read that VM/386 is good, but it is much more expensive ($300). -- Kevin Allred allred@emx.cc.utexas.edu allred@ut-emx.UUCP
