Hey!!! Whatever happened to net.records??? Did I miss something (I have been on vacation) or am I the only person who reads this network. I like having a seperate net for album reviews. Does anyone else feel the same way? It appears that to gain one network (net.music.classical), we have lost another. Sob... Affectionately yours... JR

net.records was merged with net.music and hence blown away.

>Hey!!! > >Whatever happened to net.records??? Net.records went away a couple of months ago. Some unnamed person (known only by his plaid cape) pointed out that almost every message in net.records was also cross linked into net.music. After discussion it was decided that there was no real practical difference between the two, and net.records was nuked so that there was a single topic for use in discussion. It should be noted that some sites seem to have forgotten to remove net.records from their active file so some sites seem to be posting to it still on occasion. Of course, most people never see these postings (*hint*). >Did I miss something (I have been on vacation) or am I the only >person who reads this network. I like having a seperate net for >album reviews. Does anyone else feel the same way? Many of us read this network. When you consider how long it took you to notice, think about how useful net.records truly was. It was a good idea, but in reality there was nothing about it that made it different from net.music or net.audio (for the technical material). >It appears that to gain one network (net.music.classical), we have >lost another. Not true, since net.records went away long before net.music.classical was even considered. chuq -- From high above Benden weyr, Ch'qui, rider of the plaid dragon Plugh!
