[comp.sys.ibm.pc] The PC Magazine study of 80386 systems

nichols+@andrew.cmu.edu (David Nichols) (07/13/89)

Speaking of the PC Magazine 386 survey, did anyone else notice the awful
performance numbers the CompuAdd machines got? I don't have the magazine
here with me, but I seem to recall that the 20MHz machine clocked in slower
than the slowest 16MHz machine! Is something wrong with the CompuAdds, or
is this another example of PC Magazine's famous policy of refusing to touch
the configurations of any machines that they test? I'm surprised they're
willing to toggle the power switch.
