Re boot sector labels: Just about every machine has its own label in the boot sector. I sell a couple of FLoppy disk formatting utilties which use labels like MAXIBOOT, MAXIDISK, FREEFORM, etc. However, these will only affect floppy disks and not hard disks. m. garamszeghy Herne Data Systems Ltd.
