Are there any mouse manufactured that dont have a wire tail connecting
it to the computer.  I always thought that if an infrared signal was used
instead of a wire the mouse would be far more convenient.

I have seen remote control units for TVs that are not direction dependant
which means that the only problem should be if data  could be transfered 
fast enough.
