[comp.sys.ibm.pc] PD BBS Software Source

Does anyone have some Public Domain BBS software with source?  A friend
of mine wants to improve his board but is limitted by software.  I know
there is a package written in BASIC but this is not what we want.  Something
written in C or Pascal would be great.
