A person from our Classics Department came into our lab with an interesting problem. Seems she was given a Hebrew Word Processor that was developed at a University in Israel, called _Einstein_ _Word_ _Processor_. The trouble is that when she tries to run this program on a US IBM PC, the characters are all high ASCII graphics characters and are undecipherable. In our IBM DOS 3.3 manual, we found a country code for Hebrew. The problem is that there is no KEYB code page provided for Hebrew and no GRAPTABL for Hebrew. It seems that 1) we either need to locate a Hebrew Version of IBM DOS [hopefully the characters will not be BIOS dependant] or 2) we need a device driver to install the Hebrew Characters into DOS. Is there anybody out there familiar with this package. Is there an FTP site where we can get ahold of the files we need. Thanks, nghiem@walt.cc.utexas.edu !cs.utexas.edu!ut-emx!walt!nghiem

(That's why I carry a board with me when I go to the US). In addition, IBM software is needed (KEYBHE) which must be purchased. It can be bought in Israel with no problems, I don't know if it can be purchased elsewhere. On a VGA the situation is different because alternate fonts are employed by software (using codepages). For a VGA, ONLY software is needed. This can be purchased in the same way as the software mentioned in the previous paragraph.
