Intel Inboard-386 accelerator board for XT. ------------------------------------------ There is a company in the UK selling these reasonably cheaply ie approx 500 pounds sterling (advertised in the Personal Computer World magazine). Ive got an old XT-clone collecting dust and I wondered about making it useful by upgrading it with one of these boards. Does anyone on the Net have any experience of these? Someone at work snuck one of these thru purchasing. It speeds up the machine,
but you are still stuck with the XT's slow i/o. I'd recommend buying a
replacement motherboard instead. It'll cost about the same but give
a *lo* better performance (even if it's only a 286 board!)
