A friend of mine has a Packard Bell ITV/286 AT clone (at least that's what I think it's called). After a recent power failure she started experiencing all sorts of fun problems. I went over and fixed up everything but can't get rid of one annoying error message at boot time. Every time the machine boots it puts up the message: Drive C new or track fail Press ESC to continue! When ESC is pressed it then proceeds to boot up quite normally, I've run MACE utilities Daignose on the disk and it can find nothing wrong. Does anyone know why this message is coming up and how to stop it? -- Norman Soley - The Communications Guy - Ontario Ministry of the Environment soley@moegate.UUCP or if you roll your own: uunet!attcan!ncrcan!moegate!soley The Minister speaks for the Ministry, I speak for myself.
