I have heard that WordPerfect runs on Suns and would like to know if Microsoft has any plans for porting Word to Suns. If so, would it be more Mac-like or PC-ish?

You can run Word on a Sun 386i as a virtual DOS machine. And knowing the Sun graphics interface I would probably expect it to be more Mac-ish if a port is done. If you want DOS compatability, get a Sun 386i or put an IPC (PC/AT VME board) in it. I don't expect MS to play ball with Sun. MS did a botched up enough job with Xenix until SCO took the ball and now has been making slam dunks ever since. MS even owns stock in SCO from what I have heard. /*--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * Flames: /dev/null (on my Minix partition) *--------------------------------------------------------------------------* * ARPA : crash!pnet01!jca@nosc.mil * INET : jca@pnet01.cts.com * UUCP : {nosc ucsd hplabs!hd-sdd}!crash!pnet01!jca *--------------------------------------------------------------------------*/
