[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Wanted: FTP Pointer to VPIC 1.8

gordon@eecea.eece.ksu.edu (Dwight Gordon) (08/01/89)

useable. Word has it that version 1.8 and/or version 1.9 are out there
somewhere on CompuServe. I've no CompuServe access. Is there anybody out
there with an anonymous ftp pointer to one (or both) of these versions of
vpic?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry - my "rn" program truncated the first line of the previous posting.
Here it is again -

VPIC 1.4 was posted on the net a while back. It's bugs make it almost (!)
useable. Word has it that version 1.8 and/or version 1.9 are out there
somewhere on CompuServe. I've no CompuServe access. Is there anybody out
there with an anonymous ftp pointer to one (or both) of these versions of
vpic?

Thanks in advance!

I just got a version of VPIC 1.9 off of an imaging bulletin board.
I immediately uploaded it to GEnie (library 14) but haven't seen it appear
on the list of files yet. I lack UUENCODE, so can't bring it up to Unix,
but if you can't get it elsewhere I can make it available by disk, or
provide the paper trail to follow my footsteps.
I noticed that he eliminated the option to save only the portion of
the image on the screen (actually this option never worked in VPIC 1.6, but
I was kind of hoping he would fix it rather than eliminate the option from the
menu), but added a few formats, and the option to save
the image rotated 90 degrees positive or negative, and probably a few other
things.
