Some ones said in this news-group that NANSI.SYS allowes you to create new character fonts. Well, I got NANSI.SYS and I don't see how can it do that - I have a PC with a Hercules card. Also, does anybody knows of a software that allows to use other character fonts on the Hercules card (in graphics mode) and that it is compatible with word processors like Word-Star. Don't tell me please about the new Hercules Plus card. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Raanan Herrmann (bc-cis!raanan, raanan@bc-cis)

Hi everybody, I wonder somebody over there could help me to get nansi.sys. I suppose it is a driver similar to ansi.sys in DOS. I built the stvie (vi), from the sources posted to one of these news groups. I am having problems with scroling. When the page is full the lines are started to scroll in the very last line in the page. As a remedy I have tp press control + L, but that is a bit of nuisance. I had the look at the documentation. It said something about a driver called nansi.sys. I suppose there exists such a drive. It may be public domain. Could somebody, please tell me how get such a driver. I love stvie, it has got everything (?), in **ix vi. Including my favorite set number. That's grate!!! Cheers! Athula

There is also an ansi replacement called zansi.sys, which should be faster than nansi. Zansi is available as /pc/pd2/zansi12.arc from our 128.214.12.3 site at the University of Vaasa, Finland using anonymous ftp. Then there is ansi.com that was recently in PC-Magazine. That too, can be obtained from here as /pc/pd2/ansi.zip. Nansi is not in our collection. ................................................................... Does anyone know if a Hercules graphics compatible version of the nansi.sys console driver exists? Thanks in advance. M Volow, VA Medical Center, Durham, NC 27705 mvolo@ecsvax.UUCP 919 286 0411
