[comp.sys.ibm.pc] 3+OPEN LAN, NET PRINT /processor:?

nacer@hpmcaa.mcm.hp.com (Abdenacer Moussaoui) (08/08/89)

I would like if someone can help with the following:

The 3+OPEN LAN manager provide the NET PRINT command which
support the specification of a print processor other than the default
one, however it does says anything much about it except for the syntax.
Here is what I would like to know.

- How is the print processor invoked?

- if it's treaded as a filter, how come I get error-notification on
the print queue if I try to specify FIND "target string" as my
processor by setting
	processor = c:\os2\bin\find
	parameters = "target string"

- Since the print requests are kept as files under the corresponding
spooled queue directory, what happens if the processor processes the
file into a zero bytes (empty file) does the LAN still attempts to print
it?

- What happen if the system reboots, does it rebuit the print queues?
