yesterday i posted a query about 4dos 2.11's errant handling of pipes. thanks to iadt3tb@prism.gatech.edu, i found that 4dos has been upgraded to version 2.2, which fixes my pipes problem. actually, it may not have been a problem. 4dos 2.11 depended on a TMP environment variable being set to a path where 4dos would create the 'fake'* pipe files. the docs don't mention this any- where proximate to the description of pipes. 2.2 detaults to \. 4dos22.arc, which does not contain new docs, is available from simtel20.arpa as pd1:<msdos.sysutl>. *courtesy of bobmon@iuvax. -- Frank Burleigh burleigh@cica.cica.indiana.edu USENET: ...rutgers!iuvax!cica!burleigh BITNET: BURLEIGH@IUBACS.BITNET Department of Sociology, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana 47405
