I'm about to embark on a path that may take me into the world of the Micro-Channel. Right now I know nothing about it. Does anyone know the answers to the following questions: (I'll post summaries if there is interest) 1) Where do I go to get the bus specs? Do I call IBM? Do I look in Byte? 2) Given that it is hard to get bus specs, I could use quick answers to: - How wide is the bus - What is the maximum transfer rate - What is the normal transfer rate - How many masters does it support - How many interrupt levels - What is the form-factor (board size, connector pins, etc) 3) Who are the interface card vendors, what sorts of cards exist? 4) What is your impression of how easy it is to build cards for it? 5) How would you rate the performance of the bus? Thanks in advance!
