[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Help using Zenith PC with TRS printers

millerj@silver.bacs.indiana.edu (Jay D. Miller) (08/14/89)

Help please! I'm trying to use a couple TRS printers (daisy wheel
and dot matrix) from my Zenith eaZy PC and all I can do is print
double spaced. I really need to be able to print single spaced, but
haven't been making much progress to a solution. Please respond by
email if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Jay

Most older TRS-80 computers only sent the printer a CR and the printer then
translated it to a CR/LF. PC's, however, send a CR and a LF, so your lines
will be double spaced. Most of the TRS-80 printers that I know of have an
internal DIP switch that can disable this "feature".
