After upgrading a Leading Edge Model D (XT) with a 30mb hard disk and MS DOS 3.3, I found that the battery-backed clock can not be read by the DOS $CLOCK driver. The original DOS 2.x supplied by L.E. apparently contained a modified $CLOCK driver for reading the hardware. Other than trying to purchase a version of L.E. DOS 3.2 or higher instead of using MS-DOS 3.3, I can't find a solution. I would think that this is a commom problem for anyone upgrading a L.E. with a 30Mb hard disk, since DOS 2.1 wastes so much space on large clusters. One of our apps _needs_ the 3.3 version of DOS anyway. If anyone is aware of either a device driver or another solution to automatically reading the battery clock with MS DOS, could you send me email please? I'll sumarize any useful answers.
