Get your copy upgraded to 5.5! Apparently, you are running 4.0, as
they added postscript support in 5.0!
The upgrade won't cost more than $100, and is worth it for the other added
features

I sell a program that provides Epson MX-80 to PostScript translation, and I would encourage anyone who has the choice to use software that has a PostScript driver. Most word processors without a PostScript driver have, at best, the notion of a character width table for the printer's proportional font. PostScript has many fonts, and to properly produce PostScript, even ignoring the translation problems, requires width tables for each font in normal, bold, italics, and bold italics. The results will be remarkably unattractive with any font but Courier. Of course, if you have a program that doesn't have a PostScript driver (like all the DOS commands), and you can't really give up that program, a program like my Epson MX-80 to PostScript TSR might be appropriate -- but you really want that to be a last resort. -- Clayton E.
