[comp.sys.ibm.pc] Why does some software not work on fast machines?

     I have a very general question about why some software will not
run on fast machines.  I'm sure some programs are copy protected, or
check for certain speeds(like games).
     Are there other reasons as well?  Inquiring minds want to know....
