spl@topaz.rutgers.edu (Mr. HappyWOWface) (08/17/89)

Is there a program out there that will allow me to slow down a 386
machine. i know there exist programs for the 80286 that will proably
do the just as good but i was just wondering if there were ones
designed espesially for the 386. Later. =)

Check the DOS that you have for the computer. Compaq and others, have the
mode command modified so that it takes a speed= option, ie:

	MODE SPEED=30

Where the range is 1 to 50. If the DOS was designed for your computer,
there may be something already there. If not, keep looking.

Also check the commands that come with your DOS. You may have a command
like one that came with my NCR machine. It has a FREQ command that lets
me set processor speed to 16, 8, 6, or 4.77 Megahertz.
