Anyone know of a electronics supply place that sells rear panel connectors for a PC/XT style case? I'm talking about those little metal strips that are used to cover the hole left by an empty slot in the PC; I need to get some pre-punched and mounted with DB-25 and DB-9 connectors. I've called a couple of places that supposedly carry EVERYTHING and none of them carry these things. Can somebody tell me where to get them? --------- Dave Douglass Computer Sciences Corporation Piscataway, NJ 08854 ...!rutgers!cscnj!daved

Can somebody tell me where to get them? Find some place that puts together clone boxes. Around here, you might try PC Warehouse on southbound Rt. 1 in Edison, or Super Software just behind the Mobil Station on Northbound Rt. 18 in East Brunswick (near Crazy Eddie). This is no guarantee that they they will have them -- but it seems that this will be your best bet. Otherwise, take a look in COMPUTER SHOPPER (a big, tabloid-sized magazine chock-full of clone ads). It is available at B. Dalton in the Woodbridge Center (in the back, where they have all the computer books and the software). It comes out late in the month and sometimes sells out by mid-month. I have a bunch of those strips, btw, but none of them are punched for any connectors. > --------- > Dave Douglass Computer Sciences Corporation Piscataway, NJ 08854 > ...!rutgers!cscnj!daved ^^^^^ I have it on good authority that RUTGERS in fact does NOT recognize this machine (even though both are located in Piscataway). -- Theodore A.
