In Memorium 1986 This is to herald the death of net.philosophy. Another counter-authoritarian movement bites the dust. Massachusetts residents may call 489-4930 Citinet. It is a free BBS experiment sponsored by AT&T and Vidtex. The central theme of the network is to promote interactive communications and provide low cost data transmission. The structure has been inspired by Fritjof Capra's book, " The Turning Point ". A government forum takes responses from subscribers and presents them to state and federal congress. The key emphasis is to promote human involvement through communications technology. Net.philosophy will not have died in vain. John Williams.
