A colleague has purchased two secondhand Sperry PCs (IBM compatibles) for his accounts office. They came with documentation about most features EXCEPT FOR THE CARD WE ARE INTERESTED IN. He needs to be able to address the comms port as an ordinary RS232 port for a security dongle which is needed for his accounts software. The machines have the following emulator card which appears to have anRS232 port and a lot more. Computer Logics Emulator Card, Part No. 3003, Rev 5.0B (made in Canada), which are dated 15-7-86. If anybody has documentation or information on this card please e-mail me, (he is not a computer person and has no net access) even if the information is just the address of the manufacturer. Second Question: The documentation on the machine is very thorough BUT is not quite correct in every detail. Does somebody have some Sperry docs on the MODEL 3070-09 which does not discuss the comms jumpers JP9 & JP10 - the motherboard in these machines does not have the jumpers discussed in the manual. _ /| | Graham C.
