[net.music] Rites of Spring

For a mind-shattering experience check out Rites of Spring LP
on Dischord Records (3819 Beecher St. NW, Wash. D.C., 20007).

Rites of Spring is a DC Metro area band which is taking the
hardcore genre into new and unexplored area much like their
contemporaries and inspirations Beefeater. This means use
of sampling and sound effects to enhance songs. The lyrics
are well written as are the songs. Enjoy. The album ppd should
be about $6 (check or M.O.).

If anyone has heard this already, I would enjoy discussing it
with them.

Besides, they're nice guys. And they probably need the money. At their
first three shows, they broke most of their guitars, and large portions of
the drums and PA equipment. (But it was *fun*!)

Dischord is also the home of Minor Threat (who seem to be the only known DC
band, unfortunately), among others.

But nowhere near as good as Kate Bush.
