Hi, I have just bought a 80286 PC and begin to explore the world of PC. Unfortunately, I stupidly made a low level format for the hard disk with the wrong parameters. After I get the right parameters (numbers of cylinders, heads, etc), I followed the mannuel to use debug as: A> DEBUG -g=cc00:5 Then I changed the parameter to the right ones, had a low level format for hard disk C. After that, I used FDISK to have the partition for DOS. Then I try to do: A> FORMAT C: It seems working. But when I try the "dir" for C, it says "not ready error ...". Does anyone have some idea what might be wrong? By the way, I am using DOS version 3.10, which may be too old. Thanks in advance!
