With reference to copy protection, I have developed a small program, of use only to a very small number of people. They will have to buy updated data from us every month. I want to sell them data on a per machine basis, and they are not too receptive to a site license. I also do not want to waste time trying to implement any kind of copy protection. My question is this: how can I make sure that they are purchasing one set of data for every machine they are using it on? Do I have any right to inspect their machines at all (I don't think so.) Apart from relying on a basic honesty on their part, is their any other way I can protect my interests? There isn't much money involved either, about $20 per set of data, and I think at most 50 machines on which it will be needed. Thanks for all responses. Milan mms00786@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu .
