Has anyone implemented some of the more simple curses(3X) routines using TurboC's basic text mode commands? (eg, window(), gotoxy(), etc.) I noticed PCurses was implemented with Micosoft C. Anyone done it for TC? I hate to reinvent the wheel. Thanks -- Doug Eastick eastick@me.UTORONTO.BITNET UUCP: ...!utai!me!eastick eastick@me.utoronto.ca

There are several Curses packages around. I've been distributing one for several years. It's called PC Curses (as distinguished from PCcurses or PCurses), and it runs under both Turbo and Microsoft C. It's fairly complete -- it's got most of the System V Unix functions; it's fairly reliable -- a number of applications have been developed with it; and it's maintained -- by me. PC Curses is distributed as shareware. You can try to find it on your favorite BBS, or you can send me a pre-formatted 5.25" floppy with a return mailer, label, and postage (or just send $5 and forget about that stuff). Source code is available to registered users only, so please specify which compiler you are using. Jeff Dean 710 Chimalus Palo Alto, CA 94306 uunet!pyramid!cdp!jeff
