I have two basic questions. Anyone experienced with the ORIGINAL IBM PC (64K motherboard, single-sided FD) may be able to answer: 1. Can a 3.5", 720K diskette drive be used on this system WITH THE ORIGINAL IBM controller? (IBM DOS V3.2 started supporting 720K diskette drives). Nowadays, most drives are half-height. What mounting problems would I anticipate when I remove the existing full-height drive? 2. The system has a 64K-256K memory expansion card which was originally meant to take 64K bit RAMs. CAN 256K BIT RAMs BE USED INSTEAD? Can one bank have 64k bit RAMs and two of the remaining three banks have 256K bit RAMs? This would give me 640K altogether (64K motherboard + 64K + 256K + 256K). Thanks in advance... --- Les Flodrowski CA: les@vaxi.uwo.CA Social Science Computing Laboratory Bitnet: les@uwovax.BITNET University of Western Ontario UUCP: les@julian.UUCP London, Ontario, Canada, N6A 5C2 (...!watmath!julian..)
